The Rejection It Burns

So.

sigh

Big Finish had an open call for Doctor Who short stories for an audio collection they are producing this year and I submitted a story called “The Tender Dolls.” It wasn’t accepted. And I’m a bit sad.

Still, if you are interested in reading it, you can find it here. If you are a fan of the seventh Doctor (Sylvester McCoy) and Ace, I think you’ll enjoy it. If you are just coming to the series through the new shows, it may not have the same resonance.

And you can also check out my other story for Big Finish that didn’t make the cut (but is still a pretty damn good story imho) here. Let me know if you enjoy them as my ego could use the support.

Tooth Pulled

I had the tooth pulled that I mentioned in this post a while back. Just had my first solid food (over-cooked pasta) in over 24 hours tonight. Now for some Vicodin and an early night.

Here’s a video for your enjoyment since I’ve been fairly quiet the past few days:

The first in a series of four commercials filmed by David Lynch for Georgia Coffee and starring the Twin Peaks gang:

Additionally, since many people still don’t use RSS, I am going to make an effort to educate people about how you can use readers to keep up with websites and blogs. I came across a fairly old, cheesy, but informative video that I posted on Facebook and will also make some further suggestions for RSS readers in the few weeks before I delete my account.

Leaving Facebook Part 1

I am deleting my Facebook account on June 1, 2010. While I don’t necessarily want to, I feel that the company’s policy about privacy and the ways they manage my data are increasingly problematic and the difficulty of leaving that particular ecosystem will only grow harder the longer I stay. So I’ve given my friends …
