We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Jobs!

When is a job not a job? When the head of the Republican Party says it’s not:

STEELE: You’ve got to look at what’s going to create sustainable jobs. What this administration is talking about is making work. It is creating work. STEPHANOPOULOS: But that’s a job. STEELE: No, it’s not a job. A job is something that — that a business owner creates. It’s going to be long term. What he’s creating… STEPHANOPOULOS: So a job doesn’t count if it’s a government job?

There’s more over at Jed L’s Daily Kos Diary.

Somedays I really wonder about our capacity for long term survival.

I just read about this on Huffington. The repigs are just so fucking desperate to have something to say, they are saying anything. It’d be pitiful if it weren’t so wonderful and satisfying. As far as OUR capacity for longterm survival, it’s about time to accept that a lot of us don’t have any. I’m working on a bit about just this, I’ll give a you a hoot when it’s done.
